Pender Clean Up Date Announced

The Village of Pender Beautification Committee and the Village of Pender are happy to announce the First Annual Great Pender Clean Up.

This event will take place on Saturday, May 6 from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. During this time,

Village residents are encouraged to take their unwanted items, especially large items out to the Village Dump which will be open for the full day. Also, during this day and time, Village residents are encouraged to get outside, enjoy the spring weather and make sure their property/residence is cleaned up and is looking good! 😊

If Village residents need assistance with the removal of items from their property, especially getting their larger items out to the Village Dump, please contact Deb Christiansen at (402) 922-0167 & Robbie Welsh at (402) 922-0530. The Beautification Committee is also looking for volunteers for this event. If you or your organization is interested in volunteering for this great event, please contact Deb or Robbie.

With the GIANT event of the Cattleman’s Ball coming to Pender in early June and then Pender Alumni weekend later this summer, it is important for all of us to make sure our area(s) & property are being kept up and looking good! This not only shows pride for our own space but for the entire community of Pender as well.

Items that are prohibited at the dump:

  • Tires

  • Batteries

  • Paint cans

  • Wooden pallets

  • Construction debris

  • Cement/concrete

  • Creosoted post

  • Railroad ties

  • Large household items* such as mattresses, box springs, couches, kitchen cabinets, or anything with metal

*Note: as long as mattresses are broken down, springs removed, etc. as well as larger furniture items including couches are cut up and broken down into pieces, the dump will take these items as long as they are broken up/broken down and NOT in full or original condition.

Reminder: Dump hours for Pender Clean Up Day on Saturday, May 6, will be from 8 A.M. to 6 P.M.
